In 1927, Charles Nungesser and François Coli found together in a daring project. Nungesser was planning to cross together with the Atlantic Coli nonstop from Paris to New York. After the aircraft had been sighted at Etretat in Normandy for the last time, it remained missing. The plane seems to have flown over Ireland as a British naval officer has noted the aircraft's logbook.
